Nurse Practitioners Are Becoming More Prominent in the US Healthcare System

There has been a big spike in the number of nurse practitioners or NPs working within the healthcare industry in the United States.

This spike is fueled by a number of reasons, one of which is the fact that NPs can provide the same level of care as doctors while allowing hospitals and healthcare service providers to save on costs at the same time.

The healthcare industry is in dire need of more physicians to fill a gap between demand and supply. The presence of NPs and the skills they are bringing to the field are even more reasons why practitioners are quickly becoming popular. Even top universities such as Bradley University are opening their online doctoral nursing programs to more students.

You can learn more about the impact NPs are bringing as well as more reasons why they are now very popular from the infographic Nurse Practitioners: Improving Quality of Care and Decreasing Costs below.
