More Career Opportunities in the Middle East

There has been a lot of exciting business news stories coming from the Middle East this past couple of weeks. King Salman’s visit to several countries in Southeast Asia is starting to turn investment opportunities into billions of actual investments in infrastructure and other fields. Back home, Saudi Arabia is building its first entertainment city near Riyadh.

It’s not just Saudi Arabia either. Qatar is investing more than 6 billion in the UK, while Dubai is now the home of more infrastructure projects that will bring thousands of jobs to the United Arab Emirates. All of these changes are being followed by an increase in demand for professionals and skilled workers.

International Companies in the Middle East

There are a lot of international companies who are setting up their operations in the Middle East. Some already have offices in the United Arab Emirates while others are approaching Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in an attempt to set up offices in the region. All of these shifts are due to the increasing demand for products and services across the region.

Most Middle Eastern countries are opening their markets to international products, much more so than ever before. These highly regulated markets are still difficult to penetrate, but the immense demand and the value of these markets for international corporations make them very lucrative nonetheless.

It is also worth noting that a lot of Middle Eastern countries are starting to find alternative core businesses, as oil and fossil fuel consumptions around the world hit a ceiling. It is necessary for countries like Saudi Arabia to start developing alternative industries such as tourism to stay ahead of the market.

Master’s Degree and Lucrative Careers

Aside from international companies operating in the Middle East, there are a lot of new career opportunities being offered by local companies trying to recruit expats and experts in different fields. In fact, your online MBA may be more valuable in the Middle East than any other part of the world due to the increasing demand.

A new generation of workers is now taking advantage of online MBA program from top names such as Washington State University in order to gain more access to these career opportunities. Keep in mind that an online masters in business administration can be completed in as little as 12 to 15 months, which means the market will still be looking for the best professionals by the time they are finished.

More from Asia

The recent changes happening in the Middle East are signs of more changes to come. Different markets in Asia are showing the same signs of rapid growth. Countries such as Indonesia and Singapore are quickly becoming hot destinations for professionals wanting to expand their careers.

Experts believe that the market changes are sustainable too. It is safe to expect an increasing demand for professionals coming from Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian countries over the next five to 10 years. There are more career opportunities to explore in these regions if you want to take your career to the next level.
